(Greek) Adoptees Anonymous

More than 60 participants attended an interesting lecture on (Greek) Adoptees Anonymous, given by Dr. Dr. Gonda Van Steen, Professor of Greek Studies at the University of Florida, held on Thursday 20, 2017 at the HCGM “Mikri Vouli” hall. Dr. Van Steen presented a part of her research on the subject and captivated the audience. After the end of her lecture, there was a question period where Dr. Van Steen interacted with the participants, answering questions and exchanging ideas. Among the audience were the General Consul of Greece in Montreal, Nicholas Sigalas and the host of the evening, Nicholas Pagonis, President of the HCGM.

This lecture was a collaboration between McGill University and the HCGM

Following the lecture, a cocktail was held, at the lobby of the HCGM Head Office where people had the opportunity to meet and talk with Dr. Van Steen and her associates.

At the end of the event Dr. Van Steen quoted “you have a wonderful community, I felt at ease talking with all these people”
