I am proud to serve as Secretary of Social Affairs on the HCGM Board of Directors and as President of the HSSQ, both positions are held on a volunteer basis. I have held this position for many years and have contributed over 3000 hours of service. With less than a handful of employees and a small group of volunteers, we offer a wide variety of services and activities. This would not have been possible without our hard-working and devoted volunteers. If you are a student I strongly encourage you to contribute some of your time to one of our activities as it would be an excellent learning experience. You may be interested in helping out at our food bank or our yearly blood drive, or to accompany an elderly person to their medical appointment. If you are retired, perhaps you would consider offering your expertise by being on our Board of Directors and helping with administrative functions, such as: PR, marketing or fundraising. I assure you that this experience will have mutual benefits. It is a wonderful feeling knowing that we have helped thousands of people, of all ages, in so many ways since our service was founded in 1972! Our services are now more accessible since we have offices in Laval, Outremont, Parc-Extension and the South-Shore. Feel free to share with me any feedback or comments regarding our service.
